"Are you sure it's an Excursion? As far as I know, the all laminate Excursions (now discontinued?) were wild cherry top, back, & sides. The new Excursions are now solid top spruce with laminated walnut back & sides (and are incredible!).…"

Seagull Excursion Folk NG Solid Cedar top????

I'm waiting for a Folk NG Excusrion coming in.  I ordered it specifically because it's all laminate, so I can leave it around the house without babying it like my other ones.  The store just called me to say they had this guitar in with a solid cedar top for only $40 more, and am I interested.  I cannot find this model at all on Seagull's website...anyone have any info on this?ThanksSee More

Hey there....I really hear you on the arthritis in the hands. Brutally bad of late, especially when it is cold and rainy. But, I'm determined to get back in the mix. I've learned in the last 4-5 months that even when it hurts and it frigs up my playing, it's better than not playing at all.

Hang in there and have fun...

Good idea.....I'm likely going the next few Fridays so let me know if you are going to drop in and we can connect.

Just curious, if you are a 'rookie' how come you have so many good guitars?
