Electric guitar-Fender Strat basketcase

Well I should have my newest guitar acquisition in a little more than a week from now. It is a blue with white Fender Stratocaster circa 1978-1981. Basically it is complete EXCEPT it needs tuners, strings and a bridge and tremelo unit. It is a little beat up, but I don't expect perfection for the $20 it is costing me.

I wonder how it will play, what it will sound like when I get her fixed up and in playable condition. I know it will cost me upwards of $200 to put tuners, and a…

Welcome to the Acoustic Newb group, Janice. We have people with a wide range of experience in the group, from beginners to experts, including some teachers, and we all learn from each other. With all those instruments you own I take it you are already a musician and are new only to the guitar. If so, you will love it!
