"If your sandpaper is stuck directly to the drum the heat may be coming from there.  On my drum sander the sandpaper is attached with velcro.  This provides a small air space and allows for cooling.  "

Glad you enjoy my tunes :)
I love your guitars too, would love a baritone ( maybe even fan fret )
My CD-DVD production is keeping me pretty broke at the moment :(
If you just happen to be in Charlotte NC I'd love to record with one of you guitars.
Keep in touch
Cheers
Jeff

Hey...great to meet you here in the AG Community. I am in the Guitar Makers group as well. I absolutely love your headstock design and picture...it's the first that has caught my eye in a long time! I also like the truss rod cover design, the way it doesn't go all the way to the nut. Please post more pictures of your guitars! Nice work, and again welcome!

Ahh, I thought it would be an answer like that. Yes, I have a mass produced Breedlove Atlas AC25/SR. I love it because it's leaps and bounds better than what I had, an Ovation CC057.

The new guitar has laminate sides but a solid back and top. It's pretty responsive but I can tell even when playing Breedlove's higher up on the quality list, it falls short. It also has lousy electronics, a Fishman Classic 4 with UST (piezo). If you're like me, you're frustrated with micing guitars live but hate the sound of UST's.

My next guitar will hopefully be a hand crafted, small shop guitar with a K&K Trinity or something like that.

I would love to step in and check out the shop if I'm ever in that area sometime. I see that you enjoy Tommy Emmanuel's music, I like him too (especially his latest), but I'm a llittle more into the younger guys that are the "new Hedges" kind of players. I'm really into Mckee, Dufour and Ciluzzi, all the Candyrat guys :)

Thanks for the friend invite Jeff, I've added you to mine as well. I'd love to hear you play sometime!

Wow Jeff, your instruments are absolutely gorgeous! I live in the Thornton area and it's hard to believe that those guitars are being built anywhere even near me. My guitar fails the candle test, but does it make a difference if the strings are still on it when testing?

Jeff,
Welcome to the forum...Tell us about yourself. What kind of music do you play? I am just an old dude who makes guitars and likes to play fingerstyle music. Travis, Adkins, Emmanuel, that kind of stuff. Wish I could read music, it would be a lot easier...How about you?
