Good business stewardship of the environment, good treatment of people. I just love the different ways certain luthiers are focusing on sustainability and doing business the right way, and I can *guarantee* this will be a significant consideration the next time I am in the market for a guitar.

When Acoustic Guitar Community launched, I was very excited to find a guitar community online with so many tools and so much potential. Really, it is quite a thing to have such a fully featured social community site dedicated to all things acoustic guitar. But besides Acoustic Newb, a lot of the activity seems to have left the site. I've started to take advice about how to build up activity on Google+, which I would like to do not just for its own sake but because I think I'm really digging the UI and I'd like to keep working on it.
So I create a circle for guitar stuff - luthiers, manufacturers, other companies or individuals that might have a G+ presence -- and I head back to the search box to look for guitar pages. And I find some.
But the're by and large empty. Or at least devoid of…
