"I grew up being a big fan of Glen Campbell and his 12 string Ovation. I even had my own Glen Campbell edition Ovation 12 string for a while. Also a huge influence in the way I heard music was Roger McGuinne's jangly 12 string Rickenbacker in…"
"They work good. I bought 20 sets of them and 20 compensated bone saddles from a China vendor on Ebay. I have sold some at shows and I use them on guitars I buy to resell. Much better than plastic pins."
"I don't blame you about not wanting to ship. I buy & sell some on Ebay and it can be a pain. I live in just outside Columbus,OH so we have Sam Ash,GC, Music Go Round and There is Uncle Sam's Pawn shop Downtown that I do some trading…"
"I have had several 12 strings. My favorite was an old blue label MIJ Epiphone Texan. My last one was a very good Seagull that I set up and sold. I need one to play around with and do not want to sell anything that I have now. What do you want for…"
"I live near a Sam Ash & Guitar Center and have done a lot of trading with the Sam Ash. I got my Gibson J-45 Custom from them and they are a big 5 star Gibson/Epiphone dealer. I will check to see that they will get one in so I can try it out. Do…"
"I had one of the AJ 500 Masterbuilts. I was a nice guitar with a good tone. What are they going to different? Is it going to be a new paint job or are they going to use thicker wood. I am looking forward to it but the last J-45 they put out last…"
"I am glad you founor d it for the right price. Are you a long way from the border to the states? Can one of us send you something without all the exchange rate at the border. I have a friend in Windsor and he comes down here and picks up old hot…"
"Thank you for sharing this with us. It helps me learn more and how and why to do repairs. I do my own set up work with cutting my own bone blanks. I buy and sell a lot and when they arrive from an Ebay seller you may not get what you thought you…"
"I have 3 Kysers, 2 of the 6 string and 1 12 string. They are priced right, work perfect and have lasted for years. One in each case for the for the ones I play most. Maybe I will go do some shopping and try some others. I always have G.A.S."
Thanks Joe, mine is a 1980 as well. When I met it in 2009, loved the blonde and then picked it up and felt the flippin weight and thought " wow this is a beast ". I love the sound and it's structural integrity as well. I use Martin Marquis phosphorus as well and am happy with those. How but the resonance duration if you strike a chord and then put the guitar on its stand ? It rings for like 90 seconds it seems. It's my first Guild but surely not my last. I have been playin a mid 70's Madeira since like 91' (Korean Guild import) and always liked it til I bought the G37. Thanks for the comment and have a great weekend. Playin with friends around a fire tomorrow night...Keep on strummin" !!!
I'll comply as soon as I can. (I'm technologically challenged, so my daughter will have to show me how to post a picture next time she's here from Westerville; usually once or twice a month.)
I'm going to go play my sweet Betsy for a couple of hours.(I'm retired after working 40 years and I'm trying to play 5 or 6 days a week, to make up for all the times I didn't play when I was working) My brother-in-law loves the Brooks & Dunn song, Neon Moon, so I'll have to go brush-up on it. Not too long ago, I could play and sing it fairly well.
