Walden Concorda CG530
I've had my Walden D710 for some time now and really love the combination of Engelmann spruce and Indian rosewood. I've just bought a Walden CG530 with western red cedar top and rosewood back and sides and I'm struck by the huge difference in tone between the two. The D710 is precise and clear, almost bell like......but the CG530 is dark and bassy, and sounds like it's smoked a good many quality cigars. Hi, has anybody any information or thoughts on maximum string gauges for Walden guitars. At the moment I have D'Addario 12s on my Walden D710and would like to try some 13s but I'm unsure about the extra tension and strain on the bridge.
