"I use D'Addario bronze phosphorus custom lights (not coated).  I defy Martins to sound any better than this set up."

"As my name implies, I have two Waldens.  I have the CE640, and the D600.  The 640 is very compatible with my fingerpicking style, but is a little shy in projecting sound. But it's 8 years old now and sounding awesome.…"

"I, personally, find the Grand Auditorium body to be more comfortable to play.  How do you feel about this?  And, do you feel that the Grand Auditorium has any less projection or volume than your dread?"

"I had the opportunity to play a D710 awhile ago, and I, too, was struck by the Englemann Spruce/Indian Rosewood combination - and I like your description. Your D710 has a solid back as well, whereas the CG530 has laminate back and sides.  Cedar…"

Walden Concorda CG530

I've had my Walden D710 for some time now and really love the combination of Engelmann spruce and Indian rosewood. I've just bought a Walden CG530 with western red cedar top and rosewood back and sides and I'm struck by the huge difference in tone between the two. The D710 is precise and clear, almost bell like......but the CG530 is dark and bassy, and sounds like it's smoked a good many quality cigars. I've spent the whole afternoon playing each guitar for a few minutes at a time just to hear…See More

String gauges for Walden

Hi, has anybody any information or thoughts on maximum string gauges for Walden guitars. At the moment I have D'Addario 12s on my Walden D710and would like to try some 13s but I'm unsure about the extra tension and strain on the bridge. If anyone has any advice or experience to share on this I'd be grateful.See More

Hey John!  I see you own a Walden...please consider joining us as a member of the "Walden Guitars" group - http://www.acousticguitarcommunity.com/group/walden-guitars?xg_source=activity

I'd also like to know about your LAG 212N - I've read about them, but haven't had the opportunity to get an impression from someone that owns one...
