FloridaGull said… Any update? Have you found your 12-string yet?

FloridaGull said… I heard from Jud - the prices are only $379 for the acoustic and $489 for the QI...probably plus shipping - still good deals, IMHO...

I don't know whether you want electronics or a straight acoustic but, if you'd be willing to have one shipped to you, Quarternote Music in NC has 2 Seagull S12's - one straight acoustic, one with the Q1 electronics - for good prices. Supposedly 2010 models, but brand new, the acoustic is in the $300's and the Q1 is in the $400's - leave a comment for Jud Hair (who posted about them) for more exact prices...
Since you loved the 6 string, you'd probably love the 12-string as well... :-)

FloridaGull said… The Art & Lutherie 12 is about $500 with electronics - sorry...
FloridaGull said… Oh, and check out the online inventory of Wolfe Guitars - http://www.gbase.com/stores/wolfe-guitars/inventory - lots of great info, and some pretty 12-strings to look at... :-)
Here's one:

FloridaGull said… Logan - just read your comment about your Framus 12-string - sorry to hear about that...
But you also asked for recommendations - so...
Are you looking for spruce or cedar topped? My recommendations include:
Seagull S12 - solid cedar topped, laminate wild cherry back and sides - about $400 street (w/o electronics)
Norman B18-12 or Norman B20-12 - the 18 is cedar topped, the 20 spruce...
Simon & Patrick Woodland 12 Spruce
Art & Lutherie 12 Cedar Antique Burst - about $500 street (w/o electronics)
The 4 above are from the Godin family of acoustic guitars - made in Canada!
Also, Walden makes a good 12 string - the D552 - solid spruce top, laminate mahogany back and sides - about $370 street - here's a link to one at an online dealer I respect in NC (I bought my daughter's Walden T550 from him) - http://holeinthewood.com/acoustic-guitars-dreadnought-c-1_6/walden-guitars-d552-12-string-natura-series-dreadnought
Finally, I would strongly suggest that you try to find a Giannini Craviola 12-string to play - I have one, and they are extremely comfortable to play, and have a fantastic tone...
Enjoy the hunt!
