Got your message about the jumbo Boucher...now there's a guitar brand I had not heard of before...then when I looked them up online I realized that they are not something readily available int he USA, at least that's what I think...but looking at the pictures of them they look great! Please post some pictures of yours and tell us more about them...I too love jumbo body guitars with non-maple back and sides. I have two, a 1980 Guild FJ212XL 12 string and a 1994 Gibson J100 extra, both with mahogany backs and sides. I have a 1990 Guild JF30 six string with maple back and sides that I keep tuned down a whole step for songs I need a lower pitch for...like McCartney's Yesterday. My FJ212XL is X-tra Large...(XL) with a 17" wide lower bout! I think the mahogany body offsets the tinny sound of a typical 12 string. Anyway, it's great to meet someone else here who likes the jumbo non-maple body guitars.
