"Seagull" Spoken Here ... (also fluent in "Godin" Gab)

By far the most active brand-dedicated group in the AGM online community!!  For those who own, play and love their Seagull Guitars ... (or any other Godin acoustic) wonderful, top-quality instruments made in Canada, Seagulls (as well as Godin, Simon & Patrick, Norman, Art & Lutherie, La Patrie, and Richmond) are ideal choices for anyone who wants a first-rate guitar for a reasonable…See More

Mike Crocker replied to Terry Angelli's discussion Another revenue stream? in the group Teachers

I've tried a modified (it was too big) Planet Waves O Port but it was a tone suck (both acoustically…See More

Jay david Sims replied to Mike Crocker's discussion Metal in the group Teachers
"You have a very legitimate concern, and I've faced it too many times myself,  I personally like the older Metal, so I'm at home with knowledge I can give students regarding the genre.  However, when a student is locked into one…"

John Michael Meehan replied to Mike Crocker's discussion What guitar are you using for gypsy jazz? in the group Gypsy Jazz
"I use a Shelly Park model Monmarte.  It is a Favino style body, a little larger than the Maccaferri. It is a petite bouche and is a real canon. I also use a D hole Maccaferri style by Saga/Gitane occasionally for rhythm backup. In order to get…"

Mike Crocker replied to Andy Tulenko's discussion Do you teach Electric? in the group Teachers
"My passion is for guitar and other stringed instruments and I don't have a preference, so I teach both electric and acoustic. I prefer steel and nylon acoustic guitars in the hands of students, and music that suits the instrument, but there is…"
