Driving through the storms yesterday, I had plenty of time to think and I guess reminisce. One of the songs from Pink Floyd's the Wall came on the radio and it took me back in time. Gotta love it when that happens. It always amazes me when someone in a different country, of a different age, can write a song and it feels like it was written for you. I had become fairly obsessed by the time I had been attempting to play for a couple years. I was practicing about 30 minutes a night 5 nights a week. It was even getting to the point that my wife and son actually stayed in the room with me while I practiced. My wife inadvertently helped me in my obsession by buying me books, and strings and picks etc for birthdays and Christmases.

I have been obsessed with guitars for as long as I can remember. A friend of my Dads brought one to our house when I was around 5. I thought he was some kind of god or magician. The sounds coming from that acoustic amazed me. It hasn't stopped amazing me.
