Paul McGuffin said… Schallers are very good tuners. Dollar for dollar, they can't be beat. Greg Smallman even used them.

FloridaGull said… It seems as if your microphone choice is a good one - or a Shure SM57?
Mark Bedard said… Pascal, Oui, c'est une edition limitee, seulement 75. J'aime mon Adamas!
FloridaGull said… Someday I'll post something - I think the first post I'll make of me playing will be one of the Christian songs I've written - I'll post it in "Gospel Guitar", so I don't offend anyone... ;-)
"Wish You Were Here" will be the second one, though - and, since it'll be played on my Seagull, it'll go in the Seagull group... :-)
I have a camera in my laptop, and an older Kodak digital that will take stills and video - I've actually never recorded myself playing, except for a DVD a friend made of me that I sent for my father's funeral...I had been in hospice with him for his last week (played my Cordoba C5 for him), but could not stay in NJ any longer for the service.
FloridaGull said… Nice version of "Wish You Were Here"! I do a complete fingerstyle version myself - no attempt at David Gilmour's acoustic solo bit yet, I'm afraid... :-)

Merci pour le commentaire!
Michael S. Jackson said… I really wish I could remember her name or the name of the song. I do know it was a fairly common song, done smooth jazz style. The CD was a collection of jazz favorites that I got for contributing to a local jazz station (no, they can'r recall it either).
She sounded young. Her voice was lower in pitch and full of breath. Do you know of anyone who sounds like this? I am thinking the song was about walking down to the pier or someplace.
Oh well.
Take care, m

I was going to ask about some music but I see where others already have. I would very much like to know of some good Cajun music that features guitar. I would also like to find tha name of the woman I heard on a jazz CD. Her voice was completely hypnotic, sultry, compelling... She sang slow jazz, French style (I don't know what you call it). But someone nicked my CD and I don't recall who she was. Do you know of anything like that you can recommend?
Take care - m

Au sujet de la guitare portugaise, je te previens: c'est dangereux, hautement adictif. Mais superbe, quand-même!
Luis Motta da Silva said… Pascal,
Je te remercie bien de ton message au sujet de la foto. Je vois que tu as une très belle Esteve, surement une bonne guitare. Vas-y pour l'audition!
