Gday Paul ,, cheers mate ,, wo must be the season ,, I,ve had my Lap Resonator a couple of weeks ,, played on the low strung chrome resonator for about a month till I pitted the frets and the surface of my first tone bar :-)))) had to get a real one.. They are so cool to play,, you'll have to let me know how you are getting on with it ,, opens up a whole new world playing ( and frustration
Cheers Tony

Hiya Paul ,, Spring was a combo of the AKG and the pickup... He he ,, if you look carefully lost the cradle so cellotaped the mic to the stand :-0.... ,, Run them both into Logic Pro and a bit of EQ and conv reverbs.. The you tube download process and compression does seem to add a few audio artifacts compared to the original mix..

Hey was going to ask ,, what studio set up do you have ?

G'day Paul
The mic I'm using on "Simply" is the AKG CS1000.. Tried a couple of mics ,, Rhode NT2 but found that the CS1000 works best.. more directional and cuts out the nose whistling and breathing noises,, In the past I have had to resort to wrapping a scarf round my face in the Studio,, especially on quiet peices

I also record the DI from the Takamine as well. Its got the DSP digital processor and sounds really crisp and bright but too much on its own . Mixing and blending the Mic for the roundness and the DI for the crisp top end definition seems to work OK without too much sound cancellation..

Paul - Thanks for listening to my cover of Water is Wide. Glad you enjoyed it. Man, I really like Free Spirit. I'll have that beginning/ending riff going through my head all day! I could envision you son doing his skateboard thing. If you ever tab it out I'd love to add it to my set list. Stu
