The Lowden 023 sounds very similar to my Martin SWOMGT, which is done in Cherry & Spruce. "August Rain" on my site was recorded with the Martin OM on both lead & rhythm tracks. "One More Song" was recorded with my '62 Martin D28 which is all original, except for the custom inlay work on headstock/fingerboard. My newest Guitar is a Blueberry Fiero Parlor Guitar done in Balinese Rosewood with a hand carved Spruce top. This guitar has a huge sound for such a small instrument. The Song "Brand new Love" was recorded with the Blueberry...it's not the complete song, just a portion of the basic chord structure. I used a Nady condenser mic and a Fostex MR-8 ,very basic stuff, trying to capture as much of the natural sound of the guitar as possible. "one More Song" is one of my favorites, written in tribute to all the muscians and singers I've played with over the years...It's here That I have to confess that, in all the years I've playing, I never learned to read music..and am a total stumble bum when it comes to tab. I play strictly by ear..even to the point of "inventing" chords..so there's no tab for any of my songs. The verses in One More Song are easy: G - Am-D-C-G The chorus is: g-Am-C-Em-Am-D-G-Am-C-D-C-G. I wish I could tell you how the intro is Played, I could show you...but don't know how to tell you. I'm one of those players that just seems to know where to put his fingers to make the music happen. I play the piano the same way..My teachers hated me because I wouldn't learn the "Right" way. so, Here I am doin' it my way and lovin' it.

Nice. I've not played a Guitar with Walnut back and sides...What are the tonal characteristics? Again, beautiful work.

Hi! I will certainly look forward to your postings as they appear! That little red Stella was my first wooden guitar...my first guitar was a plastic Emnee Tiger guitar and amp combo...a toy really, but to me, at 11 years old, it was the real thing.
