Hi,
Thanks for your comment, I'm glad you have enjoyed my music. Classic and steel-string guitars are indeed my "home" instruments, but Portuguese guitar became a passion for the last 12 years... it's highly addictive, once you try it!
I had great fun about your videos, they took me back to the middle 60's, (and to my middle teens) right in the point of guitar learning in which I was by that time and, what is more, to the Beatles' repertoire I tried to learn and play by that time ( you'd have great fun if you heard my Portuguese accent singing those songs...) anyway, I think you are surely helping lots of people, and you will all be rewarded for that good deed. In fact, I had a wonderful time hearing your easy versions, THANK YOU very much for getting in touch. And, if there's something about Portuguese music or Portuguese instruments (namely the ukes we took to Hawaii) that may interest you, you're welcome!

Hi Nick,
Thanks so much for the comment. Rhythm Strummer has some great lessons. I like how songs are taught from start to finish; and broken down in an easy fashion. However, I don't like it when a website implies that it's just as good as a one-on-one teacher. Rhythm Strummer compares it's prices of $4.99 to a teacher, and that's not too cool. There is nothing like getting that instant feedback from a professional. That being said, Rhythm Strummer is a great site to send a student to fill out their repertoire once they have reached the needed skill level. I have recommended it several times. Again many thanks for the compliments and I'll go ahead and add you as a friend. Sincerely, Donna PS - I notice you have Greg Brandt guitars in your pictures -- he's a friend of mine.
Gary Clements said… Hi Nick,
I appreciate the input. I have been poking around the various community pages and have already discovered and visited your company's site. There was an interesting Travis picking lesson, referenced by Edward Sparks (I think), that introduced me to an interesting pattern I had not yet encountered. I'm sure I will visit more in the not too distant future.
Gary
