Well I suppose it's Johnny-come-lately to add to the thread, but yes, I use arch tops and semi acoustic arch tops all the time, as a large band rhythm player. If it's set up right, it has the best dynamic range of any guitar, and of course big ban...

I have my dad's old archtop Silvertone (probably Kay). It was the first guitar I ever tried to play.Neck like a baseball bat and action that looked something like the Golden Gate bridge upside down. I borrowed an old Conrad classical and ended up ...

Richard,
Thanks for the information. I'm always interested in the history of how and why things come to be the way they are.

Thanks Again!

Richard,
Yes it has the adjustable neck and the split bridge. I got it mainly because of the adjustable neck. Right now I'm working on "fingerstyle" but later I'd like to try some "slide" guitar. I'm not that familiar with archtops but definitely want to try some out. Always looking for different sounds. Since I live within 20 minutes of the Wells Fargo Center in Santa Rosa, CA I plan on attending the Healdsburg guitar show in August. I'll also check out your website. Thanks for the contact, have a good one!
