Hitting the road again

Never thought I'd use this phrase but 'gee, whiz'...here I am back on the road. Actually took a couple of months off to heal what turned out to be a fractured leg (toured 3 months on that through 12 states so I don't wanna hear any whining out there!)...also, got to enjoy a couple of versions of the flu (hmmm, I DID get two flu shots...makes ya wonder).

NAMM out in Anaheim was great fun once again and I was thrilled to meet up again with many of my sponsors in the real…

Gillacamp Travels to Ireland

Looks like I'm making my 6th trip to Ireland, the land where it seems like music was invented, in a couple of weeks. I'm honored to have been invited back for my 3rd year in a row to the Clonakilty International Guitar Festival just southwest of Cork. Have been asked on this occasion to present my Gillacamp over a 3 day period. Nice thing about these shorter sessions is that I get to pull from my larger menu of topics.

Whole point here being that I want to encourage all players to… Continue

Gillacamping

Having fun right now in the middle of my 5th annual 'Gillacamp' in Troy Ohio hosted by Sound City Music. As usual it seems that the highlight for the students is the camaraderie among the pickers and 'my' highlight is recognizing that there are still people out there willing to learn how to use a metronome and study a little bit of music theory.

Having a blast and I hope to see some of you at a future camp or show. Keep on playing, work on a new piece every day, and above all shoot… Continue

Richard,

Wonderful playing and wonderful sounding guitars too!!! Welcome to the group!!

I used to live in your neck of the woods (actually, a little bit to the east in Leesburg), I have been throught Inverness several times. I probably wouldn't recognize it now, though, since I left Florida in 1984.

Welcome again, and great playing.
