"I hope I'm not out of line by posting this, but I just uploaded an acoustic song I recorded last week using my iphone. The drum track was from an iPhone ap, and then I used a 4 track recorder using the iphone microphone to record three guitar…"
"Hi, I don't know if this was directed towards me, but mine short run with Discmakers was CD-R. If I'm not mistaken, Discmakers won't do a glass master for under 300 copies.
To be honest, I don't know what a glass master means,…"
"Patrick, I did the same kind of short run with Discmakers that you did, and I also did my artwork on their site and used my pictures.

I'm not a member of the coffee house group, but I sometimes read through the topics. I just saw yours. I generally do weddings, etc. and have not done coffee houses. Someday I would like to. Anyway, two of my students (teenagers) decided they wanted to play out, beyond our recitals. They made a cheap demo CD of their originals (they do a sort of Rodrigo 'Y Gabriela thing -- though not anywhere near that level), went to Borders Book Store, talked to the manager, and gave them their CD. In not time, they had a gig. At Borders, you play for free, but you can sell your CDs. I went to their gig to support them -- they did really well and the audience enjoyed them. Just thought I would pass this along to you. Good luck with your endeavors. Music is supposed to be shared, so you are on the right track!
