Small world! Nice hearing from you. I'd write more, but it's about bed time for this old fellow. Drop a line and maybe we can get together and play music sometime.
Have a great rest of your week.
"I sort of got mine already by purchasing a Seagull Maritime SWS Dreadnaught with the Q1 electronics. I did a setup by sanding down the saddle a tad to get just the right action and then using my new Stew-Mac nut slot files and depth gauge set the…"

What these actually are is the …"
"Question 1. Both B and C. I either listen via external speakers, or plug the computer audio into my amp and then plug the guitar and head phones into the guitar amp. This way I can play along with a song and not bother anyone else in the…"

I'm just a rookie at finger picking, although I've played with my fingers for years and have never really taken to a pick. Just seem to have a need to feel the strings. Anyway, I always played the standard 1 11/16 style necks, but…"
"My understanding is that 90%+ of the sound is determined by the top, thus a good quality solid top gets you most of the way to where you want to be. The next contributor (I'd guess about 6% to 8%) is the wood on the back of the guitar. The…"
"Recently bought my new Martin D-18 from Harry's ... thought about going to this Raggamuffin thing, but wasn't sure what it was all about. Looks as if it was probably worthwhile. I'll be there next year for sure.
"I never became very skilled with a pick, so I have used my fingers for decades. As a result, I could pick some but it usually sounded pretty awkward, since I really didn't know what I was doing or how I was supposed to do it.

Thanks for the tip! ... I just signed up for a couple of the sessions. Sounds great, although I'm a little confused as to whether you go for two days on each session or if there are two separate classes, one for group on Saturday and a repeat one for a group on Sunday. I suppose they'll let me know if/when they respond to my registration.
