Sharon Peterson replied to Jud Hair's discussion SURVEY: Why did YOU buy a SEAGULL ?? (or other Godin instrument) in the group "Seagull" Spoken Here ... (also fluent in "Godin" Gab)
"Seagull's reputation led me to try the first one I saw.  The sound of its cedar top is the reason that very guitar is sitting with me right now."

Sharon Peterson replied to Ryan's discussion My old seagulls in the group "Seagull" Spoken Here ... (also fluent in "Godin" Gab)
"Bacardi bat is most cool. The new/old 'Gull somehow looks happy! I've never seen an 80s 'Gull before.  No wonder the guitar store guy growled!"

Sharon Peterson replied to Diamond Dave's discussion New Seagull, S&P all-hogs are on the websites! in the group "Seagull" Spoken Here ... (also fluent in "Godin" Gab)
"Same here, for the most part.  The gloss on the GAD M-120s was a turnoff for me.  But there's gloss, then there's gloss, so I'd still like to see Seagull's take on it, in person.  My GT's cedar top is nowhere…"

Sharon Peterson replied to Diamond Dave's discussion New Seagull, S&P all-hogs are on the websites! in the group "Seagull" Spoken Here ... (also fluent in "Godin" Gab)
"Hmmm ... Beautiful, but I've already hogged a lot of mahogany. Evil Twin:  Yeah, but you could use a spare dread, right? Me:  Hush!"

Sharon Peterson replied to Ray's discussion Tuning Up in the group "Seagull" Spoken Here ... (also fluent in "Godin" Gab)
"Thanks, Greg & Alan! Makes a lot of sense, plus it'd be a great ear-training workout.  Think I'll give it a go or two."

Sharon Peterson replied to Ray's discussion Tuning Up in the group "Seagull" Spoken Here ... (also fluent in "Godin" Gab)
"Do you mean you tune James Taylor-style with a Snark?  If so, how? This is meant to be a serious question.  Hope it isn't just dumb."

Sharon Peterson replied to susi Lawson's discussion Adding a Uke to the journey :) in the group Acoustic Newb
"Congrats on the concert koa, too!  And yes, I think I can "hear" what you mean by warm and bright."

Sharon Peterson replied to susi Lawson's discussion Adding a Uke to the journey :) in the group Acoustic Newb

Sharon Peterson commented on Jud Hair's group "Seagull" Spoken Here ... (also fluent in "Godin" Gab)
"Somebody must've put in a maximum bid of $600 or more, right about the same time that other bidder pushed it up an additional $50. I've lost a lot of bids that way ... but my wallet thanks me."

Sharon Peterson replied to Larry Butler's discussion New Seagull on the way in the group "Seagull" Spoken Here ... (also fluent in "Godin" Gab)
"The only usage I've seen is Hog = Mahogany.  I don't like that (admittedly, for no good reason), so I tend to spell it out. Don't know if your version's right or wrong but -- that one I like!"

Sharon Peterson replied to Diamond Dave's discussion Winter NAMM Godins--all-mahogany! in the group "Seagull" Spoken Here ... (also fluent in "Godin" Gab)
"So it appears my question remains unanswered.  Right now I'm guessing it's old-stock mahogany, harvested decades ago.  At least, I hope that's what it is."

Sharon Peterson replied to Ray's discussion My Nomination for most obnoxious use of a Godin guitar in the group "Seagull" Spoken Here ... (also fluent in "Godin" Gab)
"You know, looking at it closely ... I don't see a chord at all.  But it looks awfully symbolic."
