If you are looking for a camping guitar, I wouldn't suggest that Yamaha APX-T1 - it might be ok (or even good) plugged in, but I wouldn't expect much from the acoustic-only tone, given the depth and overall size of the body.  Of course, carbon fiber would be best, but is out of the price range of most of us mere motals.  IMHO, a good quality all-laminate guitar would fit the bill - a dread or folk/OM size.  Check this recently discontinued Walden model out for a good value (from my friend Dave Word's online Walden dealership): http://holeinthewood.com/discontinued-guitars/walden-guitars-d350ceb-standard-series-acoustic-electric-guitar

or, a few current modesl with no electronics:

or, the Walden HD220 - their Hawthorne series:

Enjoy the camping guitar hunt!
