"Phil thanks for the info and link. Sennheiser as you know is a pricey microphone albeit a high quality one. A friend had one of their lower priced, if you can call $1,000.00 low, shotgun mics and it came with two or three interchangeable mic…"

"Now that is interesting. Typical complaint about mic'ing on stage is feedback. Plus performers moving too close or too far away from the mic. Even just shifting left or right off the axis of the mic changes the tone. I was recording my friend…"

"Great topic! I used to shoot video professionally and had a 26 week cable show on local TV as well. The climax of my show was a performance by a NYC singer / songwriter named Diane Ponzio (http://www.dianeponzio.com/songwriter/howto.htm). Diane is a…"

Terry Angelli's Blog

Here we go again!

I've blogged about my fairly recent band experiences and this is yet another.

Ever since the drummer and bass player walked out on us we've been contacting and auditioning players. CraigsList is where I find musicians because frankly,… Continue

Because you are my friend.

This past Thursday my longtime friend and I went and performed at an open mic.

My friend, Roger, who I’ve posted photos of and written about here, taught me how to play bass guitar back in the day. We were in bands together throughout high…

Life is good Pt. 2 con't

I'm posting this from home two weeks later since the opportunity to sit and write for my blog didn't present itself until now.

The morning after our warm up jam we all awoke in a bit of a fog. But there was food to prep, cleaning to do… Continue

I left work early Friday so we could beat the horrendous Boston rush hour traffic as well as the west bound Mass Pike crawl. The… Continue

Well, kudos to you for putting it out there....takes a lot of courage and dedication, and having a group of stars doesn't hurt either.

have fun!

Well, that makes you a real guitarist....and it sounds like you may have a good group on your hands.

Best of luck getting it all together and makin' music.....should be fun!

Nope, no 12-string yet....but too busy to even play my 6-string right now, so that's okay. It was ordered 8 days ago and the shortest delivery is about 2 weeks.

As far as my guitar skills, they are pretty ordinary. I can chord just about anything if it's in simple format and I do a little finger-style stuff, but I mostly play so I can sing and those who listen say I sing pretty good. Who am I to argue. I am, however, working on playing better, especially finger-style/Travis style.  I was recently diagnosed with arthritis in both hands (nowhere else) so that cramps my style a lot. It's a great challenge at 56, but great fun.

I hoping to put up a video of me doing a song or two in the next 3-4 months.....we'll see how that goes.

How about you....what are you up to?

Well, I'm glad your guitar is as good as new...or better.

Hmmm, not sure my guitars play as well as they look when in my hands, but I have a great time playing them. Looking forward to getting my new 12-string in a few weeks.

I'm selling St Blues Mississippi Bluesmaster,Reverend Sensei RT, & Morgan Monroe Blues 32. I'm taking your advise and play even if its for 15-20 minutes when I come home to keep the rust off. Hope you have a great, prosperous, healthy 2013....Marty

Hi T, got your reply, sorry its been hectic at work as they changed my hours, now have to rise at 3am and not sure when I'm getting home. We have had so many officers retire and they are not being replaced so guys like me have to pick up the slack.  Can't wait till 2014 to retire. On a happier note changed my playing instruments(when I have time to play is another thing) hope all is well Happy New Year my Friend...Marty
