Hello to all. I live in Colorado Springs with all the freaks. Dont worry. I always wear my tinfoil beanie when venturing outside. ;) Thinking about heading to Lyons this summer. If work permits. Lovely weather this am. Great day to stay in and play.

Thanks for the welcome Thomas, we chose Bozeman because it's close to the mountains and about the same size as where we live now. Don Tomas David Hood said:Welcome! Bozeman is great! I am just west of that - in the Bitterroot Valley south of Mis...

I really love the trebly sound and the smell of maple every time I open the case. The 614ce and my 50th Anniversary Strat are probably my two favorites.
I live in San Diego and went to the Taylor tour a few times. Last time I was there was before they introduced the solid body electrics and I got a chance to play one. I actually wanted to play a T5 but I haven't had the opportunity yet.

Hi Tomas,

Nice work!
Yeah, I like Taylors. I have the 614ce and an older 510 with the old neck.

Hi Tomas,

Nice song! Did you use the 614ce for the rhythm and the T5 for the lead?
The lead has a great tone.

If I ever make it to Montana, I will look you up. My wife lived in Conrad for many years. On 'Sunday Afternoon,' yes I believe it does meander, which is a good thing. I like songs that move away from the VCVCBCE model some. 'Sunday Afternoon' encourages you to take a day off an imagine a quieter pace, it seems to encourage reflection.

I love the way the guitar bites when you hit the low E. How did you record it? Mine sounds amazing when I play fingerstyle, but if I strum it gets harsh . . . so my guitar technique needs work, or my recording technique. I think I've tried about 20 variations recording, different mics, different rooms, direct in, preamp, etc. Still looking for the best way to record it.

Loved it. Did you do drums as well? I also play and sing for church. Hoping to do some recording over the holidays.

I have a 614 and T5 also. God bless.

I just uploaded to ReverbNation an Acoustic piece that I started for a church special - it is 'Sunday Afternoon'. Hope to get some good feedback on it.

Hi Tomas
I am just a hobbiest type player who truly loves to play.I do not perform outside of my own family, which is not often. You are a bit out of my skill level but I enjoy talking to more experienced players. Thanks Dave

That little guitar is my trusty Martin Backpacker.....it's been to Belize, Mexico, French West Indies (St. Martin & St. Barths), British Virgin Islands. Something quite cathartic for me with a guitar on a sailboat or a beach. Back to that therapy thing again!

Breaking out of the box...

On my song, "Sunday Afternoon", I desired to break out of simple verse-chorus structure, yet I still retain symetry. I wanted to create a mood such as I have on a nice, sunny, Sunday Afternoon, after lunch and church. I sit and doze, with day dreams. The song, hopefully, reflects that. Do you think it is ok for a song to 'meander'? If not, why? If so, what examples can you think of that do this sort of meandering?
