Hello players. Jordan here. I'm a 28 year old acoustic artist currently residing in the "City of Roses" Portland, OR. I'm originally from West Michigan but I decided to move out West to try my hand at making a living with my music. Or at least make an effort to pursue my delusions of grandeur with a steadfast drive and open heart. I've been playing for about 11 years but it's only been within the last 5 that I've taken a more serious approach to theory and general musicianship.
I've been in Portland for a few months and have had some great experiences with like-minded musicians and am always craving more and more good vibes and people with a passion for songwriting. I suppose I'm interested in using this account to meet some more Portland jammers.
But don't hesitate to make contact if you aren't from Portland!
It doesn't matter where you are from. If you have a passion for your art I would love to hear from you. Feel free to add me and share your thoughts, music, and whatever else you wish to express. I'm very excited to discuss techniques, give and take advice, and just continue to evolve as an acoustic artist. Make contact! :)
Love and light,
Jordan Robidoux

Thanks for visiting my page and checking out my stuff! I've been playing a long time and improvise a lot, as I am inspired sorta! I'm glad you like what you heard.
Last Good Cowboy, has a story behind it. My younger brother was in a car accident and broke his neck, had surgery, and is not paralyzed, thank goodness. But while he was in the hospital bed they had a special one for him as he couldn't move much. So the bed pommeled him with percussions to clear out his lungs. His one nurse called it his Pony ride. One night he was writing out words for us as he could not talk with a respirator, and he spelled out "Last good cowboy," about his bed percussions.
And I wrote the song with a little help from him and my wife adding a couple ideas for the lyrics as I wrote them and told them about it.
His health is much better now and he gets around with crutches. But he is still the Last Good Cowboy to me!
Thanks again for the listen!
Kirk
