"I still Play out some not as much as i use to. the nine string is really at its best in singer songwriter / acoustic solo setting. I use the D I with all my guitars as it gives more control over the sound im looking for. 5 yaris thats cool, i…"
"Alfred the nine string is a very low action easy play, alittle more effort on barre chords . like a 12 string, the neck is a little thicker. It has factory electronics and i have no idea what they are no preamp or controls I use an…"
"Hi Diana I've subscribed to the mag. for quite a few years now and was one of the first 500 in the community. I come and go in the community as I have time to. You will learn more from the community I think if the mag. doesn'tdo it…"
"I thought a lot about this after seeing the post, I think I would have to keep the old alvarez that I've had for 30 years. I have had dozens of guitars through the years and own a couple martins now but if i could only have one i would…"
Hi Cameron is that you playing the strat?I have one that is a sunburst like that one in the photo.Mine is the 60th anniversery edition,I love it though I'm not sure how much of a investment it really was.I would have rather have gotten a maple neck insted of the rosewood.
Hi Cameron, Thanks for writing back. Yeah, I went to YouTube and watched his presentation...it was a big build up of get rich quick nonsense...and at the last moment it cut to a clip from the film "The Exorcist" a close up of the demon child with a loud scream. So the thing was a joke...I guess.
Some kind of malicious mischief? Maybe some Heavy Metal guys poking fun at the Acoustic Folks? Who can know?
I'm going to give your stuff a listen too Cameron, I have a great respect for flat pickers...I've never learned to do it. I'd love to play rhythm for a guy like you sometime.
Hey Cameron, thanks for the heads up...I didn't realize you could block people...it's been there in front of my face all the time..LOL!! But, this being a community sort of place, I never really thought I'd have to block someone. I'm pretty good about engaging folks if there's a disagreement...I'd rather do that than hide behind a block. BUT...this time YES! It's appropriate, and I'll do it!
Welcome to the community! I am in the Coffeehouse group too. Really liked the White Dove tune...great playing. I am in a trio too...although we do everything acousitc (well, okay plugged in acoustics) but we do a variety of "stuff." Anyway, welcome! I am including the link to my website here, if you do get to visit please feel free to sign the "Guestbook."
