"I've always like this song, and played it in my own, primitive way... do you have tab on this version ? Rev Gary Davis has been an inspiration to many finger-style blues pickers, I assume you're one also ."
Terry-Thanks for the friend request...I accept. Dallas, Ga. is just about 12 miles west of Marietta. Every Tuesday evening at 7:00 we have a Bluegrass jam at the Australian
Bakery on the Square in Marietta. It is open and we have been having great attendance. You are invited...just bring your guitar and any friends you want.
See you there.....BP
I see you like Prine...my band does:
Spanish Pipe Dream
Hello in There (complete with cello)
and one other I can't remember the name of but in it he says "sometimes you come home curly!"
I met a guy at a gig once who had a mahogany Guild like yours...he was a lefty and played it upsadie down, but strung as a right handed guitar...you should have seen him play "Blackbird" like that...it was amazing...and I told him so! P.S. Is Watkinsville anywhere near Macon or Cochran GA? I was born in Macon and lived in Cochran...
Hiya Terry, I ended up with the Sqier and have ordered the Ibanez acoustic this week. I love the strat and I'm sure I will love the Ibanez too. Sorry haven't written in awhile but I sure will keep you updated on my progress.
Hey Terry, Thank you for your note of welcome. Yes, I write a lot of my own music and lyrics. Shelby is not far from Sylva so, yes I am familiar with it. One of my good friends is from Rosman, Lake Toxaway area. You said you used to live in NC, where are you now and why would you ever leave NC?
Thanks for your appreciation. Actually, it's a standard strat, but I have put on some striping and a small decal on my own, to make it attractive. And I see it has !!
The Harmonica has been my passion all my life of 59 years ! Been playin' it since I was five. Started playing the guitar when I was 14 or so. Will post a few mp's and videos shortly. Hope you will like them.
