Acoustic Guitar Community

Welcome to the Acoustic Guitar Community.

I've had a few different PA set-ups in my day. The last radical change was from the usual 2 speaker style to the Bose L1 line array speaker system with a single totem pole type stand which acts as mains and monitors all in one simple set-up. The only problem for me was the weight of the base which houses the 2 amps and mixer. It does take up less room than a conventional set-up and is quicker to set up but that one piece is too heavy for me so....Bose now has the L1Compact. A lighter version perfect for the single performer. The whole thing only weighs about 35 lbs. So I am going to trade in my L1 Classic for the L1 Compact next week.

I play solo fingerstyle, no vocals. I've been using a mini-PA for many years. I tried the various Bose models and gigged with one a couple of times. While I appreciate the sound dispersion it has, the sonics are mediocre.

I did the trade last week and am very happy with my decision. The new L1 Compact is amazing!
