Dan,
I would like a little more information including maybe where the group would meet. I like to play with other people but I'm not interested in playing in public any more. Age is catching up with me and I have been spending a lot of time learning to play the banjo. Please don't laugh! Looking forward to your reply and thanks for the invite. I know some other players that might be interested but they are not a member of the acoustic guitar club.
Hi Dan,
Great to meet you here! How close are you to the martin Factory?

Clapton and Taylor are amazing. Jack Johnosn and Ben harper have some pretty fun songs. My mom is the biggest fan of taylor and for her birthday (mid June) I want to be able to play fire and rain by JT for her, but I'm struggling BIG TIME. I am having trouble with the tab. Any suggestions?
Hey, Dan! I like the Backpacker. It's an odd shape, so much so that the balance is off quite a bit. Sound is a bit thin, but not bad. At the time, it was the only small travel guitar I could locate in the area. As my wife refused to make room for my regular Martin in the trunk for trips, she allowed me the Backpacker. It travels well, plays okay and the noise it makes is fine for practice.. However, there are some other small travel guitars I've read about on the site that you might want to check out before you plunk down the cash.
I think it was a typical Steeler draft. They got what they needed, nothing too flashy. I very much like the first pick. I hope all the rest fall in to place.
I know what your saying Dan, there are times I just want to say to heck with it . Then there are times when on a good day you say Man that was fun I got to learn more. Right now it's sort of in the nut rel zone of oh well . I need to get shifted into drive again. Best to you Dan
Thanks Dan. I look forward to learning from the group and this web page. I do at the moment, feel a little discouraged. Just cant get the cords out right today. Working with C.C7,D,Dm,D7 B7, Bm G, G7 ,A,A7,Am,E,Em and of coarse F. for some reason I have more problems withe F. any way all the best I I'll get over it and keep working on it.
Don
it will mostlikely be on a Friday and it will probably be just a day trip, get up in the morning drive down to get it then go back home, but what ever we decide to do i will let you know.
I won't challenge you to a battle of the guitars yet.
What do you like to play? Part of my problem with learning is that I want to play 2 or 3 different types of music and a couple of styles, all at the same time. I know that I should focus and learn a style of music and playing, just seems more interesting to me to be all over the place.

And I think 'free works just fine. Or Sean. Just realized I only have a username posted and changed it slightly.
So, thanks for starting one...
It is difficult to find fellow guitarists in the area sometimes, and this could be a great way to communicate.

Where are you in this learning process?
