Hello my friends...it's been a while, but I just finished my first song since I totally revamped my recording system at home...I remember how much you liked my song "Hello Woman" and so I wanted to send you this one to listen to! This is the first song I have finished recording and rough mixed on my new iMAC system with Logic Pro 9...The software has a really steep learning curve and the reference book I bought to work through it is almost 700 pages long!!! But here is my first semi-finished effort called "As the Ice Around my Heart Began to Melt." Hope you enjoy it! Edward
Dano & Trish,
Another great song - "Anchor Me to Your Soul." I love the title line idea, and the whole song is very moving - lyrics, music and performance. I'd only suggest that the vocal could be just a little more up front (or the music a litle lower during the vocals) as it was hard to make out the words in a few places the first time I listened. This is one of the best showcases for Trish's pretty voice that you have posted. "She Only Cries When it Rains" is another. Overall, I always like the "feel" of your music.
Dano & Trish,
"Choices" - very pretty song. Nice arrangement too. I like the message that, after all, you probably wouldn't choose much differently. And, more importantly, you're making a statement that helps keep alive the idea that we are responsible for our own actions, something that is slipping away in our "entitlement" culture.
I was just looking at an issue of acoustic guitar with the home recording article from 2006.And they had all of the Zoom decks in there,I like my MRS 802plus I bought and installed the CD burner that goes with them.Yours must be nice what is that a 16 or 20 track?
Dano & Trish,
Nice job on Gran Maw and Daddy's Hands. Especially Daddy's Hands. I had never heard that one before, or I don't recall it. Anyway, it's a nice picture of our Heavenly Father, too, isn't it?
Hello Dano and Trish. Thank you for your kind comments. It's always good to connect with someone else from the Hayes clan. It's true, just about every Hayes I know plays and/or sings some kind of music.
You didn't mention what part of WV you are from but my best friend and fellow Timberline Guitars artist, Paul Rice, Jr., lives near Charleston. He also has an AGC page.
Thanks for your comments on my home page. Just keep at it. Music is as much about the enjoyment of playing as anything else. I remembe when I first started writing songs-man, were they bad, but I kept at it. People tell me now that my songs are OK. It just takes awhile.
I say just jump in! That's what I did, the first one didn't come out very good but it just made me want to try harder on the next one! (and the next one, and the next, and the next, etc.etc.etc......);-)
Yes that is Bill playing one of my guitars (it's actually his guitar, that I made) ;-)
You said on the Guitar Makers page that you would like us to post pics of our guitars...man after my own heart!!! Anyway, here is the link to my Guitar Gallery on my website...this shows and describes all of my instruments, including vintage and my own handmade instruments...if you like, please sign my Guestbook page!
Both the Focusrite and Drawmer will do a good job. I don't think you would go wrong with either one. Putting on my Sweetwater hat, to tell you more would require more information - easier if you give us a call!
