We live about 18 miles from Charleston (St. Albans) where I worked (now retired) for 35+ years in state govt.at the Capitol Complex. I've visited Paul's page, heard some good things about him...but never met him.

I'll post Trish's song tonight on our page...titled "A Chance to Heal".

Jeff, just checked out your page and listened to your music et al.. Great lyrics. My wife ..Trish and I are from WV and Trish's maiden name is ,,,Hayes. Her whole family are musicians of different sorts.....but mostly Christian and Gospel music. We currently write some country stuff and Trish just recently wrote and we recorded a faith oriented song dedicated to her mother and her mother's 2 sisters and the 3 sis' mother, Trish's grandmother. I haven't loaded it on our AG web page yet. After listening to your songs, I think I may just load 'er up and see if we can any comments.

Keep up the good work.

Jeff,
I had not heard of Jim Cole but just now listened to some samplers on his Website. He's really good, and his voice does have an amazing resemblance to James Taylor's. Thanks.

Hi, Jeff. Saw your comment in Songwriters and listened to You Can Go Home. Nice song, very encouraging about the Father's love. Good recording quality too, although the guitar could have been louder in the mix and the voice a little less prominent (just my opinion). It sounded like a studio but then I thought I heard applause, so you must have a pretty good set up. Guitar sounds real good - is that the Timberline?

I write a some Christian music myself but don't play guitar well enough yet to perform. Current favorite artists are Paul Baloche, Robin Mark, Twyla Paris, Brian Johnson, and Steve Swanson. I frankly don't care for a lot of what they play on KLOVE and other Christian stations, but some is pretty good and if it influences young people to seek the Lord, great.

I've never been to Shelby but did live in Gastonia for two years back in the '70s. Liked the people there a lot. Thanks for the song.

Hi Jeff, thanks for the heads up on Jim Cole. I checked his site out and he is exactly who I want to be when I grow up. HA! I will be getting some of his CDs ASAP! I have a long way to go, but would like to perform his style of music sometime in my life. Thanks again. Randy

Hey Jeff,

Looking forward to meeting you too. Are you going to bring any of your guitars and play during the meetings? I will probably only be able to make it to the Sunday morning service.

See you in a few weeks.

Hi Jeff,

I am looking forward to meeting you too!. It is uncanny the similarities between you and Paul, both having Washburns, T5's, and Timberlines, as well as your ministries.

Are you going to bring any of your axes to WV? I would like to hear your Timberline. Does yours has a spruce top instead of cedar like Pauls? I would be interested to hear how it sounds.

See you in a few weeks.

I had the priviledge of hearing Doyle Dykes with my daughters and my dear friends Paul & Rachael Rice. Doyle was inspiring. We enjoyed hearing Haley Dykes as well. She gets better every time I hear her.

Sorry Jeff
I wanted to welcome you (and Paul of course) to the Gospel Guitar group. A little fuzzy headed ...just crawled out of bed after playing late last evening here in the Northwest. Looks like you and Paul share in some ministry and picking. So getting your names confused isn't such a far reach. Great to have you both on board.
