And thank you Eric, for the kind words! I see you're a builder--perhaps I'll get the chance sometime to try out one of your guitars. By the way, I'm doing a solo show in Boulder this Sunday--a little bit of a hike from Erie, but if you're inclined it would be great to meet. Warm regards, Michael
I'm assuming you mean a notated chord (stacked notes) as opposed to a chord diagram (grid and dot variety)?
It will be the same principle: click on one of the chord-notes to create the fingering. Then, use the little square to move it into place with your cursor or arrow keys. Click on the next note of the chord, repeat the process, etc. Actually, it doesn't really matter what note you click on as long as you move the number where you want it. Finale doesn't care if you assign more than one "expressions" to the same note. Goo luck, and let me know if I can be of any more help.
WOW! Thanks so much. That helped a lot. Now I need to figure out how to add all the fingerings to a group of notes. I managed to get one number added, but when I try to add another one, nothing happens. Off to sleep & will look again tomorrow; thank you Michael!
I used to work for a company in Boulder and traveled there frequently. Played a couple of house concerts out there, but never any major show. For two years running I was able to arrange business travel so I could attend a few days of the Folks Festival, but haven't been out there since about 2002. Hope to change that soon - I really liked Boulder. Glad to hear you're happy there. What made you give up the position at Shenandoah and head out West?
