Ciao, Antonio!
If you google "headway electronics", you'll get a link for headway's web page. By the time I purchased their pick ups, they were a very small company; now, they seem to have improved their business. I bought a "snake" model pick up to install in my solid - body Portuguese guitar in 1999, and it still works as well as in the 1st day. Then I bought a second one in 2001, for a steel string guitar, and it's equally good. "Snakes" are under saddle pick ups, but I believe Headway also makes contact pick ups (for violin family instruments). Now that you mention K&K having a system of 3 microphones, I think I heard of those, but I've never tried them. Those 3 mikes have flexible arms so that you may choose their exact location inside the soundbox, isn't it? Are they expensive?, and how do they behave about feedback problems? Best regards, Luis.
I left you a note about you Yamaha in the 12 string group with a question in it...
I also am really interested in your mandolin...I like the shape and design of the back...I am going to build an octave mandolin and I am looking for ideas. Of course it will be larger (somewhere between a mandolin and small guitar) but I like the shape of the back of yours. Oh yeah, I like the front too! Edward

Nice bird in your profile pic! ;-)
We have parakeets that just bred! They seem to like the guitar music...
