Hi Ted Iv'e been away for a while, doing some small gigs, along the northeast oceanside. It was very great for my mind and soul I was well recieved everyplace I played with many booked for next summer.now to get some fall and winter gigs, I would like to put together a small 3pcs acoustic band.
Depending on the year,if it has a little age and sounds it's a keeper. They stopped making that neck and headstock for a while and just now are starting to bring them back.
Hey Ted how are you,I had my surgery done and it tested possitive for cancer. So they removed it and hopefully it will not come back.I feel a lot better and I just wanted to thank you for your support.
Hi Ted I was reading you blog on guilds and how,you where relating the fact that the Maderia guitar comapany was just a koren guitar company put out by Guild.Well I remember there was a time that martin had the same kind of deal when they had guitars built by The Saga Guitar company,They where nice guitars, at least the ones I tried where. Now Saga are making guitars for the Blueridge guitars, they might be somethig to check outif you ever come across one cheap.
Saw your message, visited your blogue. Nice place indeed. Reading those things you wrote, I understand you feel about guitars much the same way I do. The main difference is probably, I dont't suffer from GAS. My disease is worse: GMS (Guitar Making Syndrome). Once you catch it, it's for life... so, beware chisels, saws, clamps, files, luthier knives - all those things are highly dangerous, not only for children, but for grown ups too. Avoid hardware shops, wood suppliers, lutherie columns in guitar magazines - they are all conspiring to catch you in their net! Best regards, L.
Hey Ted, The Guild article is great!!! i am happy for you...I know what an honor this is after having been in the Martin Sounding Board magazine a few years ago! Thanks for sharing! Edward
