Hello Paul, and happy Easter as well. The Soundclick site is ok as a get your music out and get reaction site. I have a more indepth site which is in mid-stream process... http://www.michaelholmesmusicnow.com
There is a misunderstanding, My name is Iker, Antoine Dufour is who composed the song of the video. I have had the Taylor for more than one month. I love it!!! I thing is a very well balanced guitar, I would say more in the low-mid range. I enjoy playing that guitar, it sounds beautiful and it looks great!!
Hi Paul. I don't think anyone else has recorded my songs. Even I have only a couple of my songs recorded so not many have actually covered them. I do perform them live but without recordings people can't cover them easily. Canada and US copyright laws are different. In Canada, even if you haven't registered your songs but can prove when you wrote them you are considered owning the copyright. I have had some royalties from radio air play but not enough in a year to buy dinner so to speak.
I've grown to like the Expression System. I actually don't own a Taylor with the ES, but my fiance has one, and a bandmate has one, so I've been exposed several times. They have worked out some early issues with it, so now the new ones I think are just fine. My main 2 stage guitars both have the Fishman Blender that flips up on the upper bout. I like that system a lot, but I think the ES might be more stage worthy at high volumes.
If you haven't played any of the GS models yet (Grand Symphony), you owe it to yourself to track one down and try it out. They're really really nice. If I was in the market for a new Taylor acoustic, that's what I would get. I bought over half of mine off of eBay, and I've never had a problem there. Just something to consider?
Hi Paul,
Keep pickin'! Thanks so much for the kind words. Sorry for the late reply.
We hopefully will have a fairly big announcement at Nachville in the coming months, so if you're not on my newsletter, feel free to sign up (www.davenach.com).
All the best,
Dave
I do not know who Colin Linden is. Can you steer me to his music. I actually did not perform on this song-it was JP Sharpe-I wrote the song however.
Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment. It is much appreciated.
Hi Paul,
I'm still getting the hang of this. I tried to answer your questions but left it on my own profile. Yes Ontario is big. I'm in the Creemore area, famous for it's beer. I started playing when I was 5 and my parents put me through the Royal Conservatory of Music. I answered the questions the way I did for the simple fact I haven't gigged in a few years. I teach children wanting to learn.
