Thank you Matt for the welcome. I appreciate that. I've been disabled for the past six years and have finally started to move on with my life. I thought joining a community with similar interests would be good. Thank you for the offer of help and I will definitely take you up on that as I venture forward throughout the site and community.
Thanks, Matt. Although I've played guitar and banjo for over 50 years, I first ran across the Acoustic Guitar magazine a couple months ago at a local bookstore, and only learned about this community since then. I'm excited about this new opportunity to share in our common love of music.
Thank you Matt. Nice to meet you. I have been playing out for about 4 years, I just started singing and playing out about 1 year ago. I have alot of learning to do, but that's what keeps me going. I play rhythm only, trying some single note stuff, it is very frustrating to me at times.
Looking forward to hearing from you again.
Hi there Matt, sorry for the lateness of the reply, i've not been on here in a fair while! Not much I can tell about Aberdeen, I'm busy writing for our second Triflemore album so haven't been out much. I'll preview some of what I've done on here soon, any comments would be welcome as always! :)
Hi Matt, The music scene in Sussex appears to be very healthy. Only this morning I was at the West Sussex Guitar Club in Bognor Regis, playing in one of the guitar classes of the Chichester Music Festival. I know that the WSGC have very regular concerts & attract some good names to play for them. The music scene in Sussex is pretty good in general, even aside from guitars.
Hi Matt, thanks for the welcome.
I'm an abolute guitar newbie!
A friend of mine just gave me a nice Kona 6 string.
Primarily, I'm an intermediate fiddle player.
And some mandolin.
O.K., I admit, some banjo too!
Looking forward to adding to the reportoire!
