Hi Paul, I saw Billy a couple of times, the first was at Sunbury Festival. I was all but 15 and was my awakening of the other world of Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll. an experience I will take to my grave.....The music was great as well.
Keep well

I saw Billy twice, both times (in the late 60's) with Lobby and Gil etc and I'll never forget. He was wonderful.

Billy Thorpe will be long remembered as the major influence in the Australian Rock Industry. Having had the pleasure of conversing with musicians from America, they only remember him for one song, now being introduced to Billy Thorpe with an array of music offering. Somewhere Over The Rainbow is probably the one song that I can say all from overseas have had the chicken skin whilst listening....No need to say more of Billy's contribution to the music industry RIP, my Ozzie Mate.........
