No matter where we play, we always open the show with this Song Of First Winds (canção dos primeiros ventos). It's a good sample of the kind of music we play.
This studio version is absolutely faithful to the live presentations...

What a beautiful song! Thanks for sharing this experience with us. The combination of the several tambors of each guitar creates a warm feeling, and I can also hear hints of flamenco, traditional fado, and also other Portuguese musical styles.

Comment by Roar Vangen on September 12, 2012 at 3:28pm I really liked this song! Beautiful and sentimental. The arrangement is fine, no comment on this. If I had produced this I would have made the bass a little "deeper" (eq more bass in the bottom). The bass could also have been compressed a little (more?) to make the level more even (some notes/parts disapear a little). The acoustic guitar could also be a little "warmer" (deeper and possibly a little less treble) to separate it better from the fadoguitar. On some of the parts you are possibly a little fast on the fadoguitar (e.g. 1.10 and 1.37) or the two other musicians do not follow you. But this also a mather of taste, as a solo/melody-player you have the freedom to be a little free in the rythm. But all in all a very nice performance and song!
