Thinking Out Loud Chords

Thinking Out Loud, a famous sweet love song, was performed by Ed Sheeran. The song appeared in his 2nd album – X in 2014. Sheeran cooperated with Amy Wadge to write this beautiful song. It first debuted in the United States on September 24, 2014, and was the third single of the album. Sheeran referred to this romantic song as a “walking down the aisle song.”

Regarding the composition, the single created in the D major key has a 78-bpm tempo. The vocals of Sheeran are in the range of B2 to A4.

Since its release, the song hit top 40 within 19 weeks before reaching its peak at No.1 at the beginning of November. Continuously gaining success in various countries, the song held the first spot in Ireland, Australia, Denmark, New Zealand, South Africa, the Netherlands, and Slovakia. Also, it ranked No.1 in Billboard Hot 100 in the United States as well as the Hot 100 in Canada. The single was the highest-charting song of Sheeran in North America before the release of Shape of You.

The song brought a lot of awards and titles for Ed Sheeran. Here are some achievements of this song:

In 2015, the single became the first one to rank in the UK’s Top 40 for a whole year. Not to mention, it was the seventh song to have gained three platinum certificates in the country during the twentieth-first century. In the same year, the single was the first song to be streamed more than 500M times on music streaming provider Spotify as well as among the most-streamed ones in the United Kingdom. By the end of September 2019, the song has been played over 2.8M times on the platform YouTube.

Notably, the song ultimately brought two Grammy Awards including Best Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year for Ed Sheeran.
